The Men of the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor invite you to the 17th annual Men’s Retreat.
This year’s theme is Storytelling. We will learn the basics of telling a great story. Sharing our stories will give us a deeper understanding of our fellow UUAA brothers. We are all unique, and sharing some of the experiences that have shaped our lives will certainly create a spiritual weekend.
Listening to stories is an art, and some men will enjoy this rather than telling stories. Please enjoy yourself, and do not feel that you have to tell a story.
DO come join your fellow UUAA men for a couple of refreshing days of shared brotherhood. And RELAX—-by stepping away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life!
The UUAA Men's Retreat is renowned for blending of friendship, fun, intellectual & spiritual discourse, humor, and physical activities. You will have the opportunity to participate in large and small group discussions, fun and thought-provoking campfires, a softball game, nature walks, tai-chi, fishing, canoeing, and much more. Dine and hang out with an eclectic bunch of fun-loving, intelligent, and thoughtful men.
Each year something new and enriching happens. Impromptu jam sessions and star gazing are a couple of examples of what “first timers” have unexpectedly brought to the retreat.
WHEN: October 7-9, 2016
WHERE: Judson Collins Center on Wamplers Lake, Onsted, MI
Signup at the Men’s Retreat table in the social hall after each service.
