At some point (in lodges? whole group?), we should discuss what the retreat should look like going forward:<br> ◦ Should we use the term "retreat"? The word "Men's"?<br> ◦ Should we change the format? How and why?<br> ◦ Should this be a church-wide activity day? Like community hikes.<br> ◦ Should we stay on campus or go to a different location?<br> ◦ One-day or full weekend?<br> ◦ What has worked well = what do we want to keep? What do we want to drop?<br> ◦ In the past 25 years, which other church initiatives have started up, but not lasted until today?<br> ◦ Tom's key question: Who are we serving by offering the "retreat" in its current format?<br><br>Also, should we invite board members to join us for dinner? This will prevent both members of the board and leadership development team from attending the first two hours of the retreat.</li><li>We would like to offer child care costs to those who request it.</li><li>Food--we have done Jerusalem Garden in the past. Other ideas?</li></ul><div><b><u>Circle Liaison</u></b>: </div><div><ul><li>I had 5 men interested in joining circles. I contacted all five and referred them to the two circles looking for additional members (Jerry's Circle, in person; and #10, zoom only). Greg Smith and Vinny are meeting with Jerry's Circle. The other 3 men (Dale Johnson, Ben Kassmussen, and Bruce Gibb) did not respond.</li><li>I am thinking of inviting a member from each circle to meet prior to our fall retreat on September 30th.</li></ul></div></div></div>
