The book contextualizes Palestinian liberation in relation to other justice struggles, with a foreword by Richard Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories. Why Palestine Matters demonstrates that systems of oppression are global and interconnected. The project of human emancipation will not be realized until all people are free, including Palestinians. Register here. Facilitators are Ibrahim Ashrawi, Palestinian-American Humanist, born in Jerusalem, co-founded a rock band and theatre troupe precursor to the Palestinian National Theatre; Dana Fisher Ashrawi, president of UUs for Justice in the Middle East
