The year 2020 has been an unusual, challenging, sometimes frightening, yet frequently very creative year. When the pandemic hit, UUAA did not stop services, community coming together (virtually), kids programming or social justice work. And we continue to press forward as we move toward 2021. As Rev. Manish said at the end of the Water Communion service on September 13: "We hold that power and potential to bring alive dreams and possibilities that none of us could ever bring alive alone...The world longs for and needs who we are as Unitarian Universalists..."

Throughout the spring and summer months, our 20/50 visioning activities have continued and exciting plans for our future are in active planning -- some are already underway as we strive to make a difference in

  • Climate Justice & Environmental Action
  • Anti-racism
  • Radical Welcome.

To live into our ambitious vision plans, we need to make sure our operating budget supports our vision. Given the central role of pledging to our income, our 2021 budget begins by securing pledges. Last year, between the pledge drive and the Stone Soup Campaign, we raised $1,076,000 to be of service to the world. This year our goal is $1,100,000. You can read a preliminary 2021 budget to see how that money would be put to work.

We recognize that given all of the uncertainty and upheaval in today's world, with potentially fewer pledging units and economic uncertainty, reaching our goal may be a challenge. But the world around us is in pain and upheaval, and we are called upon to be a force for healing. Please help as you are able. There are links to more information at the top of this page.
