Thank you for an excellent evening. I think the idea to have men provide
the food worked out well. We may have been a little tight on quantity for
those who were later to the serving area. Don't know if there is a way to
address that or if it is a need. The program was good. The fellowship was
good. The themes were important.
The email soliciting the survey was misrepresentative (likely
unintentional?). It stated an "anonymous survey," but the link essentially
requested that one email comments. While that does not adversely affect
me, some may be concerned to email criticism.
I do have a comment for consideration. It seemed to me that virtually all
of the discussed volunteer opportunities were for those who are "able
bodied." The required degree of "able bodied" could be argued, but there
were obviously men in the room who may not be up to the task of supporting
a significant percentage of the activities discussed. While it was
implicit that not all men had to support all aspects of physical labor,
maybe it could be more explicit....and maybe there are activities we could
highlight that do not require significant physical activity capacity.
Thank you, Men's Council for a great evening.
Best regards,
Allen Duncan
