Hello UUAA Group Leaders -

Plans are coming together for the September 28 & 29 first ever *UU Climate
Action Revival*.

Some of what makes us excited about this:
- We are joining *300 UU congregations* across the country.. sharing
thoughts and ideas, inspiring one another, feeling the impact of working
together.
- Dusty Francis is creating an *uplifting musical experience* for us that
will be part of the Saturday workshop!
- On Sunday we will be *recognized as a Green Sanctuary 2030
Congregation* -This
will be a real celebration of a whole congregation effort. Solar panels and
building improvements, but also painters providing artwork for Earth Day,
composting to the right bin, webinars, movies, vegan potlucks...and so much
more. Thank you to all who helped organize some of these events
contributing to our GS 2030 recognition.
- And of course, UUAA has the honor of celebrating the Revival in the
company of *Rev Sofia Betancourt, president of the UUA, and Rachel Mislivy,
the main organizer of the UU Climate Justice Revival.* We hope you find an
opportunity to meet both of these inspiring UU leaders during their visit.

Here is the ask:
#1 - *Share this info with your group or team! *We are counting on our
group leaders to help spread the word and encourage participation.
#2 - Be there! We will be envisioning the future justice work for UUAA and
will want your input - ALL groups are asked to be represented at the
Saturday workshops. A registration form will be available soon, and there
will be a Zoom option.

you forget! Most of the help needed is easy and fun - Greeting people at
the door on Saturday; helping with advance publicity (posters, banners,
etc); assisting with coffee and refreshments; helping with the
data generated on Saturday; set up and clean up and more. There is a place
for you and your UUAA group or team, and we want to show our visitors that
UUAA is full of good climate action supporters!

Briefly--

*Saturday 9/28*, at UUAA, from 1pm - 6pm there will be gathering time,
creative workshops, refreshments and a community sing!
*Sunday 9/29*, at UUAA - the usual TWO service schedule, featuring Rev
Betancourt speaking, a fun GS 2030 recognition, more music, more joy.
Following the service we can all take part in an Action Hour of hands-on
climate advocacy -- postcard writing, etc., *organized by UU Civs.*


Please note that there will be a photographer at the weekend events taking
photos that may be used in UU publications and future presentations,
training materials, etc. We will also use some of the photos on uuaa.org.
