Restorative Justice: Re-Entry: A Time for Healing and Support
Sunday, November 26, after services, Social Hall (and 11/26, 12/10, 12/17)
Please stop by the Restorative Justice Table after each service on November 26 and December 10 and 17 to help fill up baskets for returning citizens. Please bring new (preferably large) hygiene products such as bottles of shampoo, conditioner, individual toothpaste/toothbrush, and kitchenware or dish towels. Contact restorativejusticeinfo@uuaa.org for information or with questions.
The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is looking for transitional homes for up to 90 days for women who may be leaving Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility. Supportive services will be available. If you have room to share and the desire to make a difference, contact Natalie Holbrook-Combs at nholbrook@afsc.org
Coming up: We will be writing holiday greetings to those incarcerated throughout the nation in collaboration with UUA Church of the Larger Fellowship. We will also be sponsoring a book discussion in 2024 on Becoming Ms. Burton: From Prison to Recovery to Leading the Fight for Incarcerated Women by Susan Burton and Cari Lynn.
