Restoring Justice: Book Discussion April 2024
Wednesdays, April 10, 17, and 24, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
As we bring in the New Year, we want to thank our congregation for their efforts to bring joy to those incarcerated during the holidays. We sent out a record number of greetings through the Church of the Larger Fellowship. And more kudos to those who helped us fill our baskets for returning citizens. We have blankets, toiletries, Meijer gift cards, and more to share with A Brighter Way and American Friends Service Committee as our incarcerated brothers and sisters return to our communities.
More ways to help:
- Please take time to read this newsletter from the Women in Huron Valley Correctional Facility.
- Join us on Wednesday evenings, April 4, 17, and 27, 6:30pm – 8:00pm, to read and discuss Becoming Ms. Burton by Susan Burton and Cari Lynn. The book explores the intersectionality of poverty, drugs, incarceration, and housing. Stop by the Restorative Justice table on January 14 and February 4 and get a free copy of the book. The link for registration will be published soon.
