[menscouncil] Retreat and Circle Liaison Report

I will be at the meeting; however, I cannot stay late (past 9:30 AM).  Here
are the Retreat and Circle Liaison Reports--

*Retreat*:  The leaders of the retreat committee (Tim Miller, Bob Dinan,Tom
C, Jim Schaefer, and Casey Jackson) met twice since our last meeting and
have a theme and schedule.

   - Mixed Bag Cafe (and as Tom loves the slogan, "No shirt, full service")
   - Saturday, Sept 30th, registration starting at 1:30 PM, retreat
   starting at 2:00 PM with a short in-gathering, followed by lodge meetings,
   dinner, free time and a bonfire, weather permitting.
   - One conflict:  Manish scheduled a Board Retreat the same day from
   12:00 to 4:00.  This will prevent both members of the board and leadership
   development team from attending the first two hours of the retreat.
   - We would like to offer child care costs to those who request it.
   - Food--we have done Jerusalem Garden in the past.  Other ideas?

*Circle Liaison*:

   - I had 5 men interested in joining circles.  I contacted all five and
   referred them to the two circles looking for additional members (Jerry's
   Circle, in person; and #10, zoom only).  Greg Smith and Vinny are meeting
   with Jerry's Circle.  The other 3 men (Dale Johnson, Ben Kassmussen, and
   Bruce Gibb) did not respond.
   - I am thinking of inviting a member from each circle to meet prior to
   our fall retreat on September 30th.
