Green Corner: Let Your Commissioner Know!
In 2022, Washtenaw County developed a plan to address climate change, called “Resilient Washtenaw.” Goals include net zero emissions in government operations by 2030 and in all of the county by 2035. An ambitious plan, it was approved by the Board of Commissioners on December 7, 2022. View the plan.
Commissioners need to know this is important to you! Ask what progress has been made in the past year. Encourage them to give updates regularly. Click here for commissioners’ contact info. Also, you can attend the county’s Environmental Council’s Zoom meetings each fourth Tuesday to learn what they’re working on for Resilient Washtenaw; click here for more info and Zoom link.
