Memory Cafe

The next Memory Cafe will be held on Wednesday, March 3rd. UUAA has been hosting memory cafes for Dementia Friendly Saline for more than a year. Two or three times a month, our social hall is filled with 50-70 people experiencing memory or thinking changes, along with their care partners, friends, spouses, and partners. It offers care partners the chance to enjoy a change of routine, socializing, and relaxing. For their partners or friends, it offers support and engagement. The program strives for inclusion. This includes physical accessibility, respect for and inclusiveness of different cultures, and freedom from stigma. There is a quiet room if a person needs a break from the stimulation.
This is a volunteer program. Volunteers are needed between 1:00pm until approximately 4:30pm, but welcome and needed for any time frame. Come late, leave early, come once, come each time, participate or just observe. All are welcome! Stop in and catch a little happiness any time.
