Ann Arbor Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East (AAUUJME) has been a social justice group at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor since 2001. We are one of 26 chapters that are part of the 50-year-old national UUJME (https://uujme.org/) organization. Our mission is to inform our community about the history and current situation in Palestine/Israel and advocate for U.S. Middle East policies that respect human rights. We believe that lasting peace in Palestine/Israel is possible, but only when both Palestinians and Israeli Jews have freedom, security and equality in their shared homeland.
