ROOM and ZOOM – UUAA Community of Writers monthly meeting

Members and guests are invited to attend the upcoming
Community of Writers meeting on Zoom or in person in the Brown
Room. Masks are optional.
Arden Mahlberg, a member of the writers group, has offered this
writing prompt for the August meeting: WATERFALLS. Many
people go out of their way to visit waterfalls, and when there they
linger quietly. For others, if you have seen one waterfall, you have
seen them all, and they chat about where to stop for lunch. For
others it is like a natural water park where they can jump from
cliffs and swim behind the falls. How is it for you? What have
waterfalls evoked as you reflect on it now? Is there anything
healing, transformative, or spiritual about it for you? As always,
one may write using this prompt or on any topic of one’s
choosing.
Readings are restricted to five minutes and are followed by
appreciative comments. If you like to write and wonder if the
group would be a good fit for you, you are welcome to come to the
August 20 meeting. Guests are always welcome but are asked to
wait to read until after their first time with the writers.
