Show Your Pro-Voter Support at the Washtenaw Board of Commissioners Meeting
Wednesday, January 21, 7:00pm, off-site
Absentee voting has started, and early in-person voting starts October 26! Here are two resources to consider:Wednesday, January 21, 7:00pm, off-site
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners plans to introduce a resolution taking a stand against the documentary proof of citizenship ballot proposal currently circulating in Michigan. This anti-voter proposal would require voters to show a birth certificate or passport when registering to vote and make it more difficult for married women, overseas and military voters, rural voters, voters with disabilities, and low-income voters to participate in our elections.
People attending the meeting can show support for this resolution by giving public comment on how this ballot proposal would deprive many people of their right to vote. If you can’t attend in person, submit a written public comment here.
A big crowd at this meeting will show support for the commissioners’ resolution and our community’s commitment to voting protection!
