DrUUmming Together for Earth Day at Friday Fun Night, Sponsored by Radical Welcome!
Friday, April 17, 5:30pm – 8:00pm, Social Hall
At this month’s Friday Fun Night, we lift up Radical Welcome, one of our Vision Priority Areas! Join us for a hearty dinner, crafts, and a congregation-wide drum circle honoring Earth Day, led by Drummunity! After dinner, everyone will gather in Fahs Chapel for a hands-on, high energy music experience, led by UUAA friend Lori Fithian!
Friday Fun Night welcomes people of all ages to gather for food, fun, and a celebration of community. Please RSVP here by Wednesday, April 15!
Drummunity is a unique, interactive program available for all kinds of groups. It’s not a “show” to sit back and watch. Everyone participates – from 10 to 400 or more people – all playing together! Using hand drums, percussion, and simple drum circle games, Lori Fithian creates a positive, non-competitive experience for people of all ages and abilities to share. Drummunity is all about…
- community-building and connection
- stress release and moving energy
- attention, focus, listening skills
- appreciating difference and diversity
- rhythmic skills and coordination
- personal success and empowerment
- cooperation and team-building, spontaneity, creativity, and FUN!
We always need a team of volunteers to make Friday Fun Night successful. Tasks include setup, cleanup, food prep, program assistance, and supply shopping. Please sign up here!
