Seeking Caring Volunteers for UUAA Memorial Reception Team

Have you attended a memorial service at UUAA and marveled at the seamless and thoughtful work done by volunteers during the reception after the service? You can be part of that loving team of helpers if you can occasionally share just 2-4 hours of your time.  

Memorial services and receptions following the services are held at UUAA throughout the year for congregants who have died. The Memorial Reception Team helps families in this difficult time by managing the setup, serving, and cleanup for each reception. There are typically fewer than 10 services each year, and each team member typically is needed to staff only about half of these.

Team members need to be physically able to help with room set-up before receptions; serve food and graciously interact with the grieving family and guests during receptions; and clean up/re-set the social hall after receptions. One volunteer team leader and 3-4 other volunteers are present for each reception.
