Save the Date for the Ordination of QuianaDenae Perkins!

Mark your calendars! Our congregation will soon have the honor of ordaining QuianaDenae Perkins into Unitarian Universalist ministry. This follows a vote at the January 2026 UUAA congregational meeting and the acceptance of QuianaDenae into Preliminary Fellowship by the UUA Ministerial Fellowship. The ordination is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 1:00 pm, in the Phifer Sanctuary. A reception will follow in the Social Hall.

All congregation members and friends are welcome to witness and celebrate this transformative event in QuianaDenae’s professional and personal journey.

A key component of the ordination rite is the gifting of a ministerial stole. As a tradition, ministers receive their first stole at their ordination, presented by their sponsoring congregation. UUAA has asked former long-term member Kathy McLean to be the Ordination Stole Artisan.
