All-Congregation Earth Day Services and Celebration 4/19
Sunday, April 19, both services and social hours, throughout the building and grounds
Join us for UUAA’s Annual Earth Day all-ages, all-congregation appreciation of our home planet. Our hallways will once again be lined with nature art and poetry from UUAA artists and writers.
The services will celebrate abundance and reciprocity found in Nature with joyful music, recordings of UUAA young people’s thoughts about the environment, the ever-popular Dirt Communion, the outdoor Ancestor’s Grove blessing, and more!
After each service, there will be guided walks on our land, focusing on UUAA’s many notable environmental features. The social hall will be packed: kids’ crafts, games for all, an up-close solar panel to admire, ways to get involved in climate advocacy, and more!
There will also be copies of the draft of UUAA’s Climate Action Plan II available for review. Our climate work is urgent and serious. It is motivated by our love of the Earth and the joy we find in Nature. So come, let’s celebrate and find joy together.
