The Tree in You and Me: Celebrating the Interdependent Web of Life

Much like the forests that once blanketed the earth, we put down roots when we gather in community. Join us for our annual multi-generational Earth Day service and Dirt Communion ritual, as we explore what trees can teach us connection, mutual care, and building a better future together.

All are invited to bring a small amount of soil from a place that is meaningful to you, to add to our communal bowl (we’ll have extra for you if you forget).  The service will include music from the Chalice Bells. We will also have a ceremony outside right after each service to bless the land that is supporting the Ancestors Grove of Trees.   After the second service, a variety of activities for all ages will be offered in the Social Hall, hosted by UUAA’s Climate Action Climate Justice groups.

A PDF version of the order of service is available by Saturday of each week at https://uuaa.org/oos [using the electronic version helps UUAA with our Zero Waste goal.]
