Art Contest for Climate Justice Revival
Deadline: September 1st for competition.
Call for Art! To commemorate the first-ever UU Climate Justice Revival (to be held Sept 28th/ 29th), the organizers are calling for submissions of artwork reimagining climate justice for a new era and bringing a spirit of revival and renewal.
Imagine that it’s 2050 and we’ve achieved all of our wildest hopes for collective liberation. What does that re-imagined reality look like? How does it feel?
Three commemorative art pieces will be selected based on the following themes. The artist for each winning piece will receive a $750 award:
- Love at the Center
- Reimagining Together
- Abolitionist Visions of Climate Justice
Three Emerging Artist Awards of $250 each will be awarded to youth artists (Under 18). Submitted Art will be judged on the following criteria:
- Relevance to Theme
- Creativity and Originality
- Technical Skill and Execution
- Emotional Impact and Engagement
- Clarity and Strength of Message
