We hear a lot about the changing patterns of participation in religious institutions. There is sufficient evidence that people are less likely to be involved in a congregation. However, there is nothing to say that people have become less spiritual or less interested in having community. Although the future of congregational life will certainly be different, we have every reason to be joyful and optimistic based on the stories of our past and the beauty of the present.
