Imbolc Crafts & Fire for All Ages

February 10 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

We will make Bridget’s crosses from magazines, do some work on poetry and write our one word theme for planning the spring and summer season! Finally we will walk out to the land where our fire keeper Tom C will have a bonfire going.
Questions?  contact Sandy Eyl  infoseasonalrituals@uuaa.org

At 1 PM in the UU social hall, we will have the option of sharing a few family friendly crafts and activities:

  • Bring an old magazine and we’ll help you make your own Zero Waste Bridgid’s Cross. (we will have some old catalogs for you to do if you dont have a magazine).
  • Since Brigid is also the goddess of blacksmithing, poetry, wisdom and healing: we will offer an individual or group activity related to poetry (exact activity TBD).
  • Also be thinking about the upcoming Spring/Summer. What a word or phase you want to carry in to your plans for the next seasons?

OUTDOOR OPTIONS

At Approx 2:30, those of us who are able will walk together on the hiking trails to the bonfire pit in the space called “the Grove”, where Tom Chettleburgh has again offered to build a bonfire! Feel free to linger for as short or as long as your comfort and the weather allows.

REMOTE OPTIONS
If you want to participate in the indoor ritual over Zoom, please contact infoseasonalrituals@uuaa.org so that we can set it up. Otherwise, I can give you the instructions we are using for our crafts.
