Food Justice: Growing Hope in Ypsilanti

Food Justice: Growing Hope in Ypsilanti

Sunday, May 21, 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Growing Hope has been providing support and nourishment to the Ypsilanti community for almost two decades. Through their work with youth and schools, farmers markets, gardening, and food entrepreneurship, Growing Hope “fosters an equitable and sustainable local food system where all people are empowered to grow, sell, buy, prepare, and eat nourishing food.”

As they prepare for their 20th anniversary, Executive Director Julius Buzzard gave an interview with WEMU’s “On the Ground Ypsi” team. You can read or listen here, and the entire community is invited to the anniversary celebration at their urban farm.
