For adults, teens, and upper elementary kids (with parental permission), a Reader’s Theater presentation of “Tough Case” by David S. Craig. This one-act play that centers on an elderly widow and a teenage boy who has broken into and badly vandalized her home. She’s traumatized, resentful, and fearful of the future. He’s about to be charged with a host of offenses unless he participates in a courtordered restorative justice program. With the help of a skilled and relatable facilitator, all parties work through the process in compelling fashion. There is reckoning with the harms done, and a path to repair emerges; healing begins for all involved. After the play, there will
be a facilitated discussion.

Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to engage in justice-related activities, including stories, role plays, and a service project.
