The Road Goes Ever On and On

When we meet one another in congregational life, we are forever changed by the interaction. This hasn’t always been understood as a good thing in our tradition’s history, and it’s time for us to reframe the narrative. A helpful narrative is that of the “hero’s journey,” or the idea that a hero leaves home, has an adventure, then returns home a changed person.
