Palestine Aid Society Iftar Fundraising Dinner
Saturday, February 28, 5:00pm, 24/7 Community Center
Our congregation’s UUs for Justice in the Middle group supports the work of the Palestine Aid Society, a local community partner that provides humanitarian support to Palestinians. During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast during daylight hours. Iftar is the evening meal after sundown and a time to celebrate family and community.
The keynote speaker is Hani Al Madhoun, Director of Philanthropy at UNRWA USA, and co-founder of the Gaza Soup Kitchen. Dr. Nidal Jboor with Doctors Against Genocide will speak about his experience delivering medical services in Gaza. The people in the Gaza Strip continue to be desperately in need of our support. Net Proceeds will go to the Gaza Soup Kitchen, Palestinian Medical Relief Society, and the Union of Health Care Committees.
Event Address: 648 S. Wagner Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103
Tickets are $100 and can be purchased here. If you are unable to attend, your donation to Palestine Aid Society is greatly appreciated.
