Sunday August 3rd
The Sin of Empathy
10:30 am; in person and online at www.uuaa.org/service
This Sunday we welcome seminarian Eli Kranz back to UUAA for an exploration of Sin and Empathy.
You may have heard Bishop Budde delivered the homily at A Service of Prayer for the Nation on January 21, 2025, at the Washington National Cathedral. She called for mercy, peace and love, after which certain individuals accused her of the “sin of empathy.” We will explore the roots of this idea, and what exactly does sin AND empathy mean to Unitarian Universalists.
A social hour follows the service in the social hall.
A PDF version of the order of service is available by Saturday of each week at https://uuaa.org/oos [You can use the electronic version to help UUAA with our Zero Waste goal.]
