Sunday Dec 7th
Ramadan Wisdom
Two services at 9:30am and 11:30 am; in person and online at www.uuaa.org/service
Many faith traditions have periods of intensive spiritual preparation that conclude with festival days. A week into a time when many around us are engaging with Advent in advance of Christmas, this service offers an opportunity to learn about the spiritual preparation that Muslims undertake during the month of Ramadan. Building on last week’s service looking at Advent, this service comes with an invitation to consider what spiritual preparation might look like for Unitarian Universalists engaged in the long labor of love that building justice and peace requires. The Chalice Bells and Chalice Sparks will offer their musical gifts this Sunday.
All are welcome to join in tree trimming and singing carols after the second service in the sanctuary.
There is a social hour following each service. Join us for coffee and conversation; learn more about how you can engage with our UUAA activities.
A PDF version of the order of service is available by Saturday of each week at https://uuaa.org/oos [You can use the electronic version to help UUAA with our Zero Waste goal.]
