Welcome Home Celebration for Rev Manish

All are welcome to gather in community to welcome the Rev. Manish home upon his return from traveling to Palestine in January with a delegation of UU religious professionals. The delegation was sponsored by the national UUs for Justice in the Middle East organization (UUJME) in collaboration with Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA) and hosted by the Sabeeled Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, an organization of Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem working for peace and reconciliation in the Holy Land. Delegates visited historical and religious sites and heard from Palestinian communities impacted by Israeli military occupation. Enjoy some baklava and Middle Eastern treats as we express our gratitude to Rev. Manish for making the journey on behalf of our congregation, acknowledging the sacrifice from Manish and his family, at a time when conditions in Palestine/Israel are exceptionally volatile.
