Upcoming Vision 2050 Events

Upcoming Vision 2050 Events

Together, we created a vision at UUAA that invites us to build the beloved community through anti-racism/anti-oppression, radical welcome, and climate action/climate justice. Each week we highlight opportunities to get involved.

Scroll through this Weekly News to get more information about these events and activities.

  • February 21 – Participate in an all-ages community-building drum circle as part of the Radical Welcome Friday Fun Night.
  • February 23 – Attend a UUs for Justice in the Middle East discussion with University of Michigan students who protested against the war in Gaza.
  • February 23 – Learn about our partner church in Transylvania and the pilgrimage being planned for autumn 2025 by stopping by the Partner Church table in the Social Hall.
  • February 26 – Join in community-building activities for women of the congregation and their friends at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens Conservatory.
  • This month – Donate unopened baby formula to help young parents just leaving foster care; you can drop it off in the box in the Spiritual Growth and Development hallway.
  • Through March 2 – View five beautiful quilts on display at UUAA, and learn about the Quilt Project on Prison Reform.
  • Ongoing – Support our Pastoral Care team by offering to occasionally provide rides or meals to congregants.
  • Ongoing – Purchase coffee and other fair trade products in the Social Hall each Sunday, in support of the UUSC, small farmers and producers, and the work of our congregation.
  • Ongoing – Use the Scrip Program so that when you shop for food, gas, and other products, a portion of the sale benefits UUAA; stop by the Scrip table between services.

We encourage everyone to visit the Vision 2050 web page and the pages for each of the vision priority areas for resources, events, and other ways to engage.
