Upcoming Vision 2050 Events
Together, we crafted a vision at UUAA that invites us to build the beloved community through anti-racism/anti-oppression, radical welcome, and climate action/climate justice. Each week we highlight opportunities to get involved; scroll through this Weekly News to get more information about these events.
- CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS: Thursday April 4 – Attend a sneak preview of the new residential wing at Alpha House before it opens to the general public.
- Saturday April 6, 9:00 am – Help our Garden Stewards and the Land Management Team with some spring projects on our beautiful land.
- April 7 – Attend one of the YRUU-led services to learn what’s on the minds of the youth of our congregation.
- April 7 – Attend a presentation by Muslim and Jewish UU professionals followed by breakout sessions to learn about and reflect on the history of Islamophobia and antisemitism in the Palestine/Israel region.
- April 10 – Participate in an online book discussion of Becoming Ms. Burton, a powerful memoir that shows how formerly incarcerated people can add real value to their community and should be given the opportunity to do so. Pre-registration requested (also meets on April 17 and 24).
- Sundays, after each service, Social Hall – It’s time to take action that benefits the planet! As we work towards Zero Waste, UUAA is now collecting food scraps and food waste, to be converted into compost.
